Factors that predict pursuing sinus surgery in the era of highly effective modulator therapy
ConclusionsWorse sinonasal symptom burden, lack of ETI treatment, sleep quality, depression, and nasal endoscopy scores were associated with electing ESS, while lung disease severity and sinus CT scores were not. Outcomes of Frontal Sinus Stenting With Steroid Impregnated Microsponge Versus Steroid-Eluting Implant
CONCLUSION: FSO patency for both stents was similar, although TICP had significantly lower costs per unit. Additional comparative trials may be helpful for guiding clinicians on the appropriate clinical situations for the use of these devices.PMID:37408359 | DOI:10.1177/19458924231186901

Distinct eicosanoid patterns in severe recalcitrant nasal polyposis
ConclusionElevated nasal LTE4, 12-month post-surgery, in NP recurrent subjects suggests that postoperative LTE4 measurements may indicate rapid NP regrowth. A distinct nasal eicosanoid profile may be used for the identification of the most severe recalcitrant patients in need of targeted immunomodulatory therapies. This article is protected by copyright. Impact of Reverse Septal Flap on Morbidity of Nasoseptal Flap Reconstruction of Skull Base Defects
CONCLUSION: The use of an RSF to limit donor site morbidity of the NSF was shown to significantly decrease the proportion of patients who reported nasal deformities and did not show a significant difference in patient-reported sinonasal outcomes. Given these findings, RSF should be considered whenever an NSF is used for reconstruction.PMID:36991310 | DOI:10.1177/19458924231166801

Comparison of the clinical outcomes of patients with NSAID-exacerbated respiratory disease receiving aspirin or biologicals
CONCLUSIONS: In NERD patients, mepolizumab significantly decreased blood eosinophil counts and recurrent FESS. There was no significant difference between the patients receiving ATAD or mepolizumab regarding other clinical parameters.PMID:36971076 | DOI:10.1080/02770903.2023.2196567
