Association of Ugrp2 gene polymorphisms with adenoid hypertrophy in the pediatric population
Conclusion Some SNPs and their combinations in the Ugrp2 gene are associated with an increased risk of developing AH. Therefore, we tried to underline the importance of genetic factors associated with AH and AH-related clinical phenotypes.

Air pollution and its relationship to lung function among adolescents from Taubate, S ão Paulo, Brazil.
CONCLUSIONS: The amount of carbon present within the AMs of adolescents with asthma was not correlated with either lung function or residence location. Asthma in children and adolescents in Brazil: contribution of the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC)
Conclusions: In Brazil, the ISAAC study showed that asthma is a disease of high prevalence and impact in children and adolescents and should be seen as a Public Health problem.
