White matter hyperintensities had a correlation with the cerebral perfusion level, but no correlation with the severity of large vessel stenosis in the anterior circulation
ConclusionWhite matter hyperintensities may be attributed to cerebral hypoperfusion secondary to vascular stenosis but not directly to the severity of stenosis in the large vessels of anterior circulation. Moreover, longitudinal studies with sequential imaging exams may further reveal the impact of cerebral perfusion secondary to vascular stenosis on the development and progression of WMHs.

The diagnostic value of quantitative parameters on dual-layer detector-based spectral CT in identifying ischaemic stroke
ConclusionThe study showed the spectral CT would be a potential novel rapid method for identifying AIS. The spectral CT quantitative parameters (Zeff, iodine density values, and iodine–no-water values) can effectively differentiate the ischaemic area from non-ischaemic tissue in stroke patients.

Selective intraarterial hypothermia combined with mechanical thrombectomy for acute cerebral infarction based on microcatheter technology: A single-center, randomized, single-blind controlled study
ConclusionMechanical thrombectomy combined with intraarterial cold saline perfusion is a safe and effective measure for the treatment of acute cerebral infarction. Postoperative NIHSS scores and infarct volumes were significantly improved with this strategy compared with simple mechanical thrombectomy, and the 90-day good prognosis rate was improved. Optimal CT perfusion thresholds for core and penumbra in acute posterior circulation infarction
ConclusionCTP has promising diagnostic utility in POCI. Accuracy of CTP varies by brain region. Optimal thresholds to define penumbra were DT >1 s and MTT >145%. The optimal threshold for core was a DT >1.5 s. However, CTP core volume estimates should be interpreted with caution.
