The association between serum apolipoprotein B and fractional exhaled nitric oxide in bronchial asthma patients
CONCLUSIONS: The levels of Apo B and FeNO had positive correlations and high Apo B levels were associated with severe airflow obstruction and low FEV1 (%). Apo B could reflect the uncontrolled status of bronchial asthma and poor lung function.PMID:34422348 | PMC:PMC8339740 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-20-3314

Pulmonary function as a limiting factor of middle distance race performance.
In conclusion, nearly every other participant of the skyscraper race develops EIB not associated with training, demographic, anthropometric and atopic status, pacing and exertion (estimated from postexercise blood lactate), but the responders (FEV1 decrement >10%) were slower indicative of poorer fitness due to EIB developing during the exercise already. Effects of body weight and posture on pulmonary functions in asthmatic children
Conclusion: There was no effect of weight on standing spirometric data. Weight showed significant negative correlation with asthma control level. We concluded that in overweight/obese asthmatic childr en, spirometric position might affect the results. Keywords: Body weight; posture; asthmatic children.

Effect of Benralizumab in Patients With Severe Eosinophilic Asthma and Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps: A Case Series.
CONCLUSION: Usage of benralizumab in patients with SA and CRSwNP can lead to significantly improved asthma control, lung function, and sinonasal quality of life. Additionally, in this patient population, there was a subset of patients that showed a significant reduction in polyp burden. PMID: 33302694 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Asthma control status and lung function in relation to vitamin D level in children with bronchial asthma
Low circulating vitamin D level maybe related to poor asthma control status and decreased lung function. The aim of our research is to establish correlation between serum vitamin D level, asthma control status and lung function. The study was performed in children aged 6 -15 years old, including patients with asthma (n=50), who referred to Sachkhere medical center for a visit. The status of asthma control in the basic group was classified (by Gina2016), as controlled (n=31) and uncontrolled (n=19). The children underwent serum vitamin D and IgE level, spirometry and skin prick tests for the study.Using the multivariate logi...
