Pregnancy and Hymenoptera venom allergy
Purpose of review To evaluate the indication to perform venom immunotherapy (VIT) during pregnancy considering the risks of adverse events during the build-up phase or the maintenance phase and analyzing specific articles and guidelines on VIT. IL-4 –BATF signaling directly modulates IL-9 producing mucosal mast cell (MMC9) function in experimental food allergy

Purpose of review To perform a nonsystematic review of the literature on the possible role of probiotics for food allergy (FA). Recent findings Animal model and in vitro evidence suggest that the gut microbiome could protect against FA and that probiotics could be a valid instrument. Egg Sensitisation, Allergy and Component Patterns in African Children with Atopic Dermatitis
ConclusionThe prevalence of egg allergy is high in African children with AD, but history of egg allergy and sensitisation to egg significantly overestimate the true egg allergy rate. SPT to fresh egg white was more sensitive than that to commercial egg white extract, hence fresh egg white should be recommended in an egg allergy screening panel. The component ovomucoid was useful for differentiating allergy from tolerance in egg‐sensitised participants. Early food allergy and respiratory allergy symptoms, and attention ‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder in Chinese children: a cross‐sectional study
ConclusionsEarly food allergy is associated with ADHD in school‐age children. Early food allergy and respiratory allergy symptoms independently and synergistically contributed to higher risk of ADHD.
