This study investigated the role of PCA in promoting neural regeneration and the underlying molecular mechanisms. Nerve regeneration is a complex physiological response that takes place after injury. Schwann cells play a crucial role in the endogenous repair of peripheral nerves due to their ability to proliferate and migrate. Ginsenoside Rg3 suppresses FUT4 expression through inhibiting NF-κB/p65 signaling pathway to promote melanoma cell death.

NBM-T-BMX-OS01, an Osthole Derivative, Sensitizes Human Lung Cancer A549 Cells to Cisplatin through AMPK-Dependent Inhibition of ERK and Akt Pathway
Conclusion: Taken together, this study provides that BMX might modulate cisplatin resistance through AMPK-ERK and AMPK-Akt pathways. Par‐4 dependent modulation of cellular β‐catenin by medicinal plant natural product derivative 3‐azido Withaferin A
This study, for the first time, reveals 3‐AWA treatment consistently sequestered nuclear β‐catenin and augmented its cytoplasmic pool as evidenced by reducing β‐catenin transcriptional activity in these cells. Moreover, 3‐AWA treatment triggered robust induction of pro‐apoptotic intracellular Par‐4, attenuated Akt activity and rescued Phospho‐GSK3β (by Akt) to promote β‐catenin destabilization. Qian Yang Yu Yin Granule-containing serum inhibits angiotensin II-induced proliferation, reactive oxygen species production, and inflammation in human mesangial cells via an NADPH oxidase 4-dependent pathway
Conclusions: Taken together, these results suggest that a NOX4-dependent pathway plays an important role in regulating the inhibitory effect of QYGS. Our findings provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of QYYYG and their role in the treatment of hypertensive nephropathy.

Ginsenoside Rg3-induced EGFR/MAPK pathway deactivation inhibits melanoma cell proliferation by decreasing FUT4/LeY expression.
In conclusion, Rg3 effectively inhibited melanoma cell growth by downregulating FUT4 both in vitro and in vivo. Targeting FUT4/LeY mediated fucosylation by Rg3 inhibited the activation of EGFR/MAPK pathway and prevented melanoma growth. Ganoderma lucidum inhibits proliferation of human ovarian cancer cells by suppressing VEGF expression and up-regulating the expression of connexin 43
Conclusions: G. lucidum inhibits ovarian cancer by down-regulating the expression of VEGF and up-regulating the downstream Cx43 expression. G. lucidum may be a promising therapeutic agent for the treatment of ovarian cancer.

Abstract 1255: The Mediterranean herb rosemary modulates ER stress proteins to promote androgen receptor degradation in prostate cancer cells
Conclusion: Rosemary induces ER stress-mediated apoptotic cell death in prostate cancer cell lines, 22Rv1and LNCaP cells, leading to disruption of AR expression. Our data suggests that this Mediterranean dietary phytochemical possess strong anticancer activity and should be evaluated further as potential chemopreventive and/or chemotherapeutic agent for controlling prostate cancer. Abstract 4110: Gartanin from the mangosteen fruit modulates androgen receptor and ER stress proteins in prostate cancer cells leading to apoptosis
Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that gartanin inhibited proliferation and induced apoptosis on prostate cancer cells in vitro. It achieves its anticancer effects partly through inhibiting AR and promoting ER stress. The ability of gartanin to inhibit prostate cancer cells suggests further research is needed to evaluate gartanin as a novel agent for the management of prostate cancer. In this study, we investigate that Tymoquinone (TQ) which is an active ingredient derived from the medicinal plant Nigella satia induces the TTP mRNA and protein expression in AGS and MDA-MB231. TQ treatment destabilized a luciferase mRNA containing cIAP2, VEGF and MUC4 ARE. Transfected cells were treated with various kinds of MAPK inhibitors, treatment with Sorafenib (RAF inhibitor) and U0126 (MEK-1/2) reduced the TTP induction activity of TQ in a dose-dependent manner. Involvement of C/EBPβ in monocytic differentiation of acute myeloid leukemia cells induced by LW-218, a new synthesized flavonoid.
In this study, we found that LW-218, a new synthesized flavonoid, inhibited proliferation and induced differentiation of acute myeloid leukemia cells. The IC50s of LW-218 in HL-60, U937, K562, and NB4 cell lines were all less than 5 μM, suggesting greater capacity than compounds we have reported. LW-218 induced differentiation effects including morphologic changes, NBT reduction, and both of CD11b and CD14 expression.
