Therapists' perspectives on adapting the Stepping On falls prevention programme for community-dwelling stroke survivors in Singapore.
CONCLUSIONS: Rehabilitation therapists describe challenges in addressing fall prevention within a stroke context, and findings highlight the need for a structured, stroke-specific fall prevention programme rather than a more general approach to education and training. Prevalence of Stroke Risk Factors and Their Distribution Based on Stroke Subtypes in Gorgan: A Retrospective Hospital-Based Study-2015-2016.
Conclusion: Overall, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemia were the major risk factors of stroke in Gorgan. Establishment of stroke registry (population- or hospital-based) for the province is recommended.

Difference in Stroke Knowledge between Rural and Urban Communities in a Developing Country after Community-Based Stroke Educational Campaigns: Results from a Cross-Sectional Study
Conclusions: Rural and semi-urban regions performed better than the urban population. Receiving stroke information is a determinant factor for stroke knowledge. "I'm just not a Sudoku person": analysis of stroke survivor, carer, and healthcare professional perspectives for the design of a cognitive rehabilitation intervention.
CONCLUSIONS: Qualitative work with stroke survivors, carers and healthcare professionals provided vital information for the intervention design. Issues identified by participants as being key to intervention development included: (i) implications of post-stroke cognitive impairment survivors' confidence; (ii) their individual capacity in terms of fatigue and metacognition; and (iii) practical issues such as intervention location. Technology for maintaining oral care after stroke: considerations for patient-centered practice.
CONCLUSION: The available device and technologies may help substantially with the accommodations needed for post-stroke oral care, improving the oral health of stroke survivors. Good oral health confers benefit to overall health and well-being and could enhance recovery and rehabilitation outcomes. CONCLUSIONS: Stroke survivors may consider undergoing experimental stem cell treatments despite uncertainty regarding the risks/benefits. Clinicians should be mindful of the factors that may increase the likelihood of patients considering these treatments and intervene, where appropriate, to clarify any misconceptions regarding the medical/financial risks.
