Previous studies have demonstrated that both females and Black, Hispanic, and Asian groups are less likely to be prescribed OAC.

Elevated thrombin generation levels in the left atrial appendage in patients with atrial fibrillation
CONCLUSION: In patients with AF undergoing catheter ablation, the LAA demonstrated increased thrombin generation compared with the LA. Association between thrombus composition and stroke etiology in the MR CLEAN Registry biobank
ConclusionThrombus composition is significantly associated with stroke etiology, with an increase in RBC and a decrease in F/P raising the odds for a non-cardioembolic cause. No difference between composition of cardioembolic thrombi and of undetermined origin was seen. This emphasizes the need for more extensive monitoring for arrhythmias and/or extended cardiac analysis in case of an undetermined origin.

This study used in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo approaches to investigate potential differences on cardiac tissue and vascular effects betweenJWH-073 and Δ9-THC. Male C57BL/6 mice were treated with JWH-073 or Δ9-THC and cardiac injury was assessed by histology. Effects of JWH-073 and Δ9-THC on H9C2 cell viability and ex vivo mesenteric vascular reactivity were also determined. ConclusionsIn maintenance HD patients, the prevalence of VI is prominently high. The number of VI ≥ 2 is associated with emergency hospitalized for acute heart failure, cardiovascular and all-cause mortality. Combining age, number of VI ≥ 2, and albumin can predict cardiovascular and all-cause mortality.
