Conclusionets-IR is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease/stroke/cardiac issues, with LDL-C mediating these relationships. Improving insulin sensitivity and lipid regulation may be essential and effective preventive measures for cardiovascular events.

Blood pressure-lowering effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists for preventing of cardiovascular events and death in type 2 diabetes: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionIn patients with type 2 diabetes, the hypotensive effects of SGLT2i and GLP-1 RAs were significantly associated with a reduction in mortality and cardiorenal events. These findings suggest that the lowering BP effect could be seen as an additive indicator of cardiovascular protection by SGLT2i and GLP-1 RAs drugs.

Decrease of thyroid function after ischemic stroke is related to stroke severity
ConclusionThere is a transient decrease of thyroid hormones after ischemic stroke, possibly driven by stroke severity. Larger studies are needed to validate these findings. Correction of thyroid function in acute stroke may be investigated to improve stroke outcomes.

Women with PCOS have an increased risk for cardiovascular disease regardless of diagnostic criteria - a prospective population-based cohort study

Non-linear dose-response relationship between body mass index and stroke risk in middle-aged and elderly Chinese men: a nationwide Longitudinal Cohort Study from CHARLS
ConclusionIn men, there was a specific non-linear association and saturation effect of BMI with stroke (inflection point of 25.94 kg/m2), while in women, there was none. When males had a BMI below 25.94 kg/m2, the risk of stroke was significantly and positively associated with BMI. By controlling BMI below 25.94 kg/m2 in men, a further decrease in BMI may promote a significant reduction in stroke risk.

CONCLUSION: Use of TTh increased the risk of CVD, CAD and stroke among is cisgender women, but not among transgender people. TTh is becoming more widely accepted in women, and it is the main medical treatment for transgender males.
