Thrombectomy in Acute Stroke With Tandem Occlusions From Dissection Versus Atherosclerotic Cause Brief Report
Conclusions—We found no differences in the outcomes of patients with anterior circulation tandem atherosclerotic and dissection lesions treated with endovascular thrombectomy. Further studies are warranted.

Potential new uses of non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants to treat and prevent stroke
Conclusion: There may be a role for NOACs in stroke prevention and treatment beyond atrial fibrillation. Randomized controlled trials are needed to compare NOACs to current stroke prevention and treatment strategies in certain subgroups of patients with cerebrovascular disease.

Balance of Symptomatic Pulmonary Embolism and Symptomatic Intracerebral Hemorrhage with Low-dose Anticoagulation in Recent Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Conclusions: Prophylactic/low-dose heparin increased sICH by more than they reduced sPE in patients with recent ischemic stroke. Therefore, their routine acute use cannot be recommended, but they may still be relevant in patients at very high risk of PE (eg, morbid obesity, previous venous thromboembolism, and inherited thrombophilia) or if started later, although trials have not assessed these issues.

Post-IV thrombolytic headache and hemorrhagic transformation risk in acute ischemic stroke
Conclusion: tPA-associated headache does not predict increased risk of HT and has no other prognostic importance in patients with AIS. Prospective studies with a larger cohort may be needed to further explore this relationship.

Safety and Efficacy of Thrombolysis in Cervical Artery Dissection-Related Ischemic Stroke: A Meta-Analysis of Observational Studies
Conclusion: Thrombolysis seems to be equally safe and will achieve an efficacy similar to the efficacy of non-thrombolysis in patients with acute ischemic stroke due to CAD. It is also as effective as thrombolysis in stroke from miscellaneous causes. Therefore, CAD patients experiencing a stroke should not be denied thrombolysis therapy. Endovascular Management of Tandem Occlusion Stroke Related to Internal Carotid Artery Dissection Using a Distal to Proximal Approach: Insight from the RECOST Study EXTRACRANIAL VASCULAR
CONCLUSIONS: Mechanical endovascular treatment of carotid artery dissection tandem occlusions is safe and effective compared with isolated anterior circulation occlusion stroke therapy. Hence, a more conservative approach with stent placement only in cases of circle of Willis insufficiency may be a reliable and safe strategy.

Experience of pediatric stroke from a tertiary medical center in North India
Conclusion: AIS is more common than ICH in this study and 8.9% patients died. Infection is the most common cause of pediatric stroke in Northern India which is amenable to therapy and is preventable.

Stenting of the cervical internal carotid artery in acute stroke management: The Karolinska experience.
Conclusions Our single-centre retrospective analysis of emergency stent placement in the extracranial internal carotid artery in combination with anterior circulation thrombectomy demonstrated high technical success, reasonable clinical outcomes and acceptable rates of symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage in carefully chosen patients which are triaged interdisciplinary based on clinical and computed tomography imaging criteria. E-055 Internal carotid artery reconstruction with flow diverting stents in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke: technical considerations and medical management
ConclusionsFDS appear to be a safe and effective tool for reconstruction of a symptomatic dissection in tortuous cervical ICAs. Their flexibility allows conformation to complex anatomies and they can be traversed multiple times by aspiration catheters/stentrievers. We found excellent patency at follow up.
