Association of coagulation factors profile with clinical outcome in patient with COVID-19 and acute stroke: A second wave cohort study
This study reported coagulation profile of COVID-19 patients with acute stroke and its association with patients' outcome.METHOD: This is a cohort-retrospective study conducted during the second wave of COVID-19, June-August 2021 in Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital. Inclusion criteria were adult patients with confirmed COVID-19 and diagnosed with acute stroke confirmed by radiological evidences. Exclusion criteria were COVID-19 patients with prior diagnosis of acute stroke. Ischemic stroke and intracranial hemorrhage in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for COVID-19: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Ischemic stroke and ICH were common under the double "hit" of COVID-19 and ECMO. The prevalence of ICH was significantly higher in COVID-19 patients supported with ECMO than non-COVID-19 patients requiring ECMO. Individualized anticoagulation regimens may be a good choice to balance thrombosis and bleeding. Ischemic Stroke in Patients with COVID-19 Disease: A Report of 10 Cases from Iran
Ischemic stroke seems to be one of the most serious neurologic complications in patients with COVID-19 infection. Herein, we report a series of 10 ischemic stroke patients with concomitant COVID-19 disease. Out of 10, 8 had large infarcts (3 massive middle cerebral artery, 2 basilar artery, 2 posterior cerebral artery, and 1 internal carotid artery infarct territory). Care Process of Recanalization Therapy for Acute Stroke during the COVID-19 Outbreak in South Korea.
CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that a prehospital delay occurred during the COVID-19 outbreak, and that patients with acute stroke might have been reluctant to visit and stay in hospitals. Association of Delirium Incidence with Visitation Restrictions due to COVID-19 Pandemic in Patients with Acute Cerebrovascular Disease in a Stroke-Unit Setting: A Retrospective Cohort Study
Conclusion: Pandemic-associated visitation restrictions and specifically absolute visitation restrictions are associated with a higher incidence of delirium among stroke-unit patients with acute cerebrovascular disease. Benefit and harm of visitation restrictions should be carefully weighed and adjustments considered for patients otherwise at increased risk for delirium.Gerontology

COVID-19 and Cerebrovascular Diseases: A Systematic Review and Perspectives for Stroke Management
Conclusion: Cerebrovascular events are relatively common findings in COVID-19 infection, and they could have a multifactorial etiology. More accurate and prospective data are needed to better understand the impact of cerebrovascular events in COVID-19 infection.

Stroke Care During the First and the Second Waves of the COVID-19 Pandemic in a Community Hospital
Conclusion: Despite the greater COVID-19 infection rate among both SU patients and staff during the “second wave” of the pandemic, a higher percentage of reperfusion procedures has been performed then. COVID-19 infection was associated with a higher rate of the LVO and 30-day mortality.
