Aphasia Induced by Infratentorial Ischemic Stroke: Two Case Reports
Aphasia induced by an infratentorial stroke has rarely been reported, and its mechanism has not been fully identified. We evaluated two individuals who had been admitted to Saiseikai Kumamoto Hospital in Kumamoto, Japan, due to acute ischemic stroke in order to determine whether their aphasia was induced by an infratentorial stroke. ConclusionsThe number of operations for thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic diseases has increased, though the rate of operations using an OAR approach has decreased. While TEVAR showed the lowest mortality and morbidity rates, OAR demonstrated the lowest postoperative stroke rate for non-dissecting aortic arch aneurysms.

Outcome of Pericardiectomy for Constrictive Pericarditis in Japan: A Nationwide Outcome Study.

Heat-Related Mortality in Japan after the 2011 Fukushima Disaster: An Analysis of Potential Influence of Reduced Electricity Consumption
Conclusions: In the prefectures with the greatest reductions in electricity consumption, heat-related mortality decreased rather than increased following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
