Skin diseases of the breast and nipple
The evaluation and management of dermatologic diseases of the breast and nipple requires an understanding of the unique anatomy of the breast and nipple and an awareness of the significant emotional, cultural, and sexual considerations that may come into play when treating this anatomic area. The first article in this continuing medical education series reviews breast anatomy, congenital breast anomalies, and benign and malignant breast tumors. An emphasis is placed on inflammatory breast cancer and breast cancer with noninflammatory skin involvement and on cutaneous metastases to the breast and from breast cancer.

(RCM) is a high-resolution, noninvasive tool that is currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for obtaining and interpreting images of the skin and cutaneous neoplasms with the goal of decreasing unnecessary biopsy procedures in patients with benign lesions. The second article in this continuing medical education series focuses on identifying key criteria for the diagnosis of common skin cancers —melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.

Impact of continuing medical education for physicians on the quality of cancer pain treatment in China
The management of cancer pain has gained attention in China since the proposal of the three-step analgesic ladder in 1986 and has been further improved after the Chinese Ministry of Health launched the campaign for “Good Pain Management Ward” in 2011. The Beijing Pain Management Center for Quality Control and Improvement (BPMCQCI) was formed with the intent to improve the quality of pain management by various means such as providing continuing medical education (CME) and conducting evaluation in Beijing, t he capital of China.

New Approaches to Continuing Medical Education: a QStream (spaced education) Program for Research Translation in Ovarian Cancer
