How do I know if PT is actually not the right fit for me?
I always had a little bit of doubt. I feel like I have just been sticking to it because I was scared to change my mind and wasn't really sure what else to do and already geared all of undergrad towards DPT. Lots of regret not just pausing and exploring other careers. I'm now a 1st year, in my 3rd semester. I can't seem to pull together any motivation to continue. Variations in Credit Totals Across DPT Programs
Hi everyone,
I am currently deciding between programs and noticed that essentially every school has a different number of credits in their curriculum. Of the last two schools I am deciding between, one has an entire curriculum consisting of 100 credits while the other has 112. However, after looking around, I found another school's program consisting of 131 credits!
A 30 credit difference is a ton - presumably around 8-10 classes worth of instruction and likely a large additional cost...

I’ll be straight up and say I’m a non-trad.
I’m a 27 y/o male in CA.
I completed physical therapy school in 2020, worked for a year, then applied to a big name hospital system for a specialization route in orthopedic PT this year.

Imposter syndrome in PT school?
Has anybody ever like an imposter during PT school?
Long story short, when I step foot in the program I knew it was going to be hard, but never this draining. There have been times I haven’t slept well because I wanted to catch up on studying and I struggled with trying to be the best I can be. 1st semester in DPT program..gone all wrong
Hello,
I'm finishing my first semester in a DPT program. However, I already have to repeat a course, which does not look good. I've had some difficulties in this program and with my cohort (as not everyone gets along, immature and unprofessional).
