Orthopedic Residency Interview
My question pertains to the interview process. I have received an invite for consideration and an interview for particiaption within a orthopedic residency. I was wondering if anyone on here had experience with a residency or the interview process? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

washu
Does anyone know how quickly WashU makes decisions? I know they're rolling, but I don't know when they typically get back to applicants. I submitted early and my application was verified on July 8. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Hey guys I figured I’d go ahead and start a thread for this years admissions cycle in NC. I’ll go ahead and start with my stats. cGPA - 3.49 pre req - 3.25 - 3.51 depending on school. I’m applying to ETSU, Campbell, Elon, Emory & Henry, Lynchburg, and Charleston southern. Comment y’all’s stats and... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Apply this cycle or wait until next year?
I really want to apply during the 2022-23 cycle but after reading some threads on here, I feel like I’m not as qualified and I’m definitely behind in the application process. It seems like most people typically apply to 8 schools and I don’t know if I want to spend that much money if I’m not a competitive applicant and don’t have much of a chance I graduated in June and I’m enrolled in Anatomy at a CC now and hope to take Physio next semester. My GPA is definitely on the lower side but... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Husband is in DPT school now and I am posting under his account...
LONG POST: I'm not sure if there are any parents in here who have partners/husbands in DPT programs I need your help. Hubs is in a hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy program and does not want to study out of the house. We have a very active, social toddler who loves his Daddy. Already, my husband is feeling decelerated (feeling like it's too much for him & I agree it is definitely a lot but of course I want to be a supportive partner as well. Every time our son goes upstairs he (my husband)... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Disadvantaged Applicant Statement
Hi all, I am filling out a school specific supplemental application that asks if I consider myself disadvantaged and to explain particular circumstances. The PTCAS already had a section detailing disadvantaged applicants. My question is, do I copy the same response I used for the PTCAS in the supplemental? It feels strange to repeat myself for this section. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Applying end of August?
Hi everyone! I am planning on submitting the PTCAS at the end of August- my target date is 8/31. I already feel like I'm "late" on submitting (I know not officially too late), so I'm pretty much just looking for reassurance that it's not too late to submit by that time? I'm still waiting on one PT to submit a LOR, but I only just put in the PTCAS request for it 3 weeks ago so I also don't want to feel like a nag if I send a reminder about it too soon :'( What are your thoughts? Physical Therapy 2nd semester uncertainty
I finished my 2nd semester this week and everything that could go wrong, went wrong. My lowest grade going into finals was a B and the rest were around A- territory. Now that the semester is over I have a C+ as my lowest grade and my cumulative GPA is at 2.92 I'm already on academic warning because of the B- I received in anatomy over the summer. And it was our lone course. The rules state you go on probation if you get a C+/C, or your cumulative GPA isn't above 3.0. But nothing is... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Subpoenaed!
A patient I saw several months ago is charged with a criminal act involving opioids. It says fact finding hearing, and is a case about parent-child termination. I have never prescribed anything for this patient, except physical therapy and discussion about a potential procedure. What should I expect? What to do? Tips? I have reviewed my documentation which looks just fine, but I don't know what else to think outside my clinical assessment. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
