Sponsored DPT question
Hi all! I'm getting ready to apply for the first time to DPT programs this summer. I'm currently a tech and my boss just offered to sponsor my education in exchange for working for him after graduation. Is this something that I should mention in my entrance essays or interviews? Or is it something that is generally not spoken about? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

ATSU vs MWU
Hi guys, I recently got accepted to both ATSU (A.T. Still) and MWU (Midwestern- Downers Grove) and am trying to figure out which one I should go for. For ATSU it’s about $110k and got MWU is $138k, I’m going to take out loans for schooling and for living costs. The living costs are both around the same pricing. Any current students have any insight on their curricular, campus, and what they like/hate about the program? TIA (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Chances of getting into DPT?
I have recently had a bad semester. Out of my two semesters total, being exercise science and doing pre reqs for pt school. So far I have an A in A&P 1 and all biology classes and stats. But recently I have had a hard time being motivated and getting to my classes for my major. For my first two semesters I had a cumulative gpa of a 3.4. This semester I have all b’s and one c. What are the chances I can come back from this and still be competitive for pt school? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

UAMS DPT Waitlist 2021-2022
Hi everyone! Just thought I would start a thread with everyone who is currently on the waitlist for UAMS PT program for 2021-2022 cycle. I know we get updates about where we are on the waitlist but I thought this would be a good support system to share all of our thoughts and concerns and share if we have been accepted other places. Good luck to everyone. I hope you get into the program of your choosing! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Texas DPT Programs choice
Hi all, I have been accepted to TWU-Hou, UTMB, UTHSCSA, and UTSW DPT programs. Does anyone have any feelings on the schools? I'm incredibly thankful to have these choices but I have no idea what to pick! I'm looking for a program that creates closeness within your cohort/professors, has clinical opportunities, and of course cost is important too... (Source: Student Doctor Network)

When is it too late to make a decision?
Hello, I was wondering if any current DPT students or currently applying students would be able to answer a huge question for me. I am currently accepted to Baylor's hybrid program and have already put my deposit in for the program, but I am still waiting to hear back from Washington and Colorado programs. I realize that if I was to withdraw or back out of Baylor that I would lose my deposit, but is there any point leading up to the first day of class that I wouldn't be able to back out... BLS vs ACAPT Discrepancy + Future salaries
Hi everyone, I am started my DPT school this summer and am having some second thoughts regarding the future of the profession and whether or not I want to go through with it. My largest area of concern is job security after likely the three most stressful years of my life. The ACAPT themselves recently published a study saying that there will be a 25,000+ SURPLUS of DPTs by 2030 due to likely reimbursement cuts and dramatic increases in the number of DPT programs (1). Meanwhile the... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

DPT School Debt
I’m on the fence between two programs. The program I’d rather go to is $13,000 more expensive than the other program. Is it dumb to go to the more expensive school? Since it’s the same degree? Will I regret being $13,000 more in debt, or is debt just debt at that point? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! And these are both public schools, just one gave me a scholarship that’s where the money difference came from. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anyone else feeling jaded
Acute Care PT of 1.5 years. Came in right at the start of the alpha COVID wave and worked through Omicron and Delta. Throughout the pandemic, the nursing and respiratory departments have seen massive raises and retention / loyalty bonuses handed out. In the meantime, I’ve only gotten a 60 cent raise. PT/SLP/OT have been excluded from any form of loyalty raises or bonuses. RN’s now make more than I do. Burnout is an understatement, but now I feel like we get slapped in the face on top...
