CSUDH OTD Applicants 2022
Hello! I haven't seen any threads or come across anyone else applying to CSUDH's OTD program this cycle, so I figured I'd start one! Would be nice to see if there's anyone else also applying!
STATS:
Cumulative GPA: 3.3 (From a UC)
Prerequisite GPA: 4.0 (Half taken at CC's and half during undergrad)
Observation Hours: 120 in a school district, also shadowed at other settings for about 5 hours each just to get a feel (SNF, pediatric private practice, hospital)

MOT/MSOT timeline
My daughter is a sophomore this year. She is still not quite sure whether to go PT or OT route. If she goes for OT (MOT/MSOT), it means she will start her Masters in school year 25/26. Is this cutting it to close to July 1, 2027 date when only OTD degrees will be acceptable?

Please tell me there are schools with extremely supportive fieldwork clinical instructors.
I have been reading horror stories about fieldwork placements with terrifying, unsupportive FW clinical instructors who fail students. Students cry every day, they burn out, or get panic attacks. SJSU 2022-2023 Cycle
Hi all! I haven't seen a thread created yet for this year's cycle for SJSU, so I thought I'd start one for anyone who has questions as we work on the application/go through the process.
I know on their website SJSU says to keep our personal statements to 500 words/1 page long, but does anyone know how strict they are on this, or would they accept statements a bit longer ~600 words? It's so hard to include everything I want to say in just 500 words! (Source: Student Doctor Network)
