MGH vs. Tufts
I got into the OTD programs at MGH and Tufts, and have to decide on a school this weekend. I'm currently leaning towards Tufts because they seem to have a good alumni network and support for students on campus, but they don't have interprofessional education like MGH does. Does anyone have any opinions/advice when it comes to deciding between these two schools? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What are my chances of being accepted ?
Hi everyone,I’m hoping to get some feedback on my application. My stats aren't the best, early in my undergraduate career I had a rough time but did better before I graduated.Though that wasn’t enough, cumulative gpa was around 2.4.Since graduating with a degree in Kinesiology in 2017 ,I have retaken a few pre-requisites and my gpa for most schools that I’m applying to is 3.3. I know my stats are not the best, but I have the experience and have observed and worked with many OT’s from... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

UW Seattle
Hi everybody, I was wondering if there were any current UW students who wouldn't mind sharing their stats they applied and got accepted with. Or if anybody else is applying to UW and wants to share theirs below, I'd love to see if I even have a shot as I know it's a very competitive program. I'll leave my states below If anybody has any input, I'd love to hear. I am also applying to SJSU, USC, USA San Marcos, CSU and UPS. Degree: Kinesiology- Concentration in Exercise Science... Low undergrad stats. Should I go OTA route before applying for OT?
I graduated back in 2015 with bachelor's in psych. I was pre-OT before but I messed up in my anatomy classes and ended up with a low GPA of 3.18. Since graduating, I've been working in a medical office and would like to apply to OT school again. I am wondering if I should go through OTA school first to compensate for my low undergrad gpa and anatomy grades. I am located in NYC and I would like to apply to school here so I don't need to relocate (interested in NYU, LIU Brooklyn, York... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Reality check time. In many cases a career in OT is not worth it.
At one point several years back, I was trying to pursue a career in OT. I would venture on this forum everyday, trying to see what my chances were in getting into a school, and arguing with any OT who would speak poorly about the rehab industry. I didn't know what else to do other than OT--and I didn't need some jaded OT to ruin my buzz. Little did I know I would become one of those OT's one day who I used to argue with. Some of you are so focused on getting your hours in, finishing your... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is the cost of an out-of-state OT school worth it?
I've been accepted to a few out of state OT programs that are significantly more expensive than my one in-state option. I would love to go out of state to have the experience of living somewhere new, and the all 3 of the programs have great curriculums and have 100% NBCOT pass rates. However the cost of each of the out of state schools total around 100k. Therefore, I was just wondering if anyone made the decision to move or stay in state, and the pros and cons of staying/leaving? At this... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
