Titanium implant coatings?
This question is more directed towards practicing dentists, but any constructive feedback is welcome. To the point, what are some currently marketed surface engineered titanium implants that you have seen? The basic science literature is pervaded by modified titanium implants, more specifically, implants with nanostructured surfaces (to increase surface roughness/osseointegration, I suppose) along with hierarchical hydroxyapatite and antimicrobial Ag coatings. Wireless Dental Loupes Light
I know it's a limited field right now, but who's got experience with what? Seems like the popular ones right now are the Design for Vision Daylite Wireless (original and Mini version), Orascoptic Spark, Orascoptic XV1, and maybe some others (Nano Freedom, Snap on Optics Cordless, etc.).
We all know the benefits - super portable, "no strings attached."
