Does anyone have any advise for studying for OAT in less than 3 months?
Hey guys! So I'm a first-gen college student in my family, and we moved to America from Iran about 7 years ago. I want to become an optometrist and what I didn't know is that I'm supposed to take the OAT the year before applying for Optometry school. I'm almost done with my bachelor's degree and set to graduate in spring 2021. I was just told that I should take the OAT this summer to be able to apply to optometry school for fall 2021. This year is the year that I've also taken extra... Does anyone have any advise for studying for OAT in less than 3 months? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

PNWU vs. WesternU
A previous thread on this topic only had one response. Hoping to foster a bit more discussion. I'm lucky enough to be holding an acceptance at Pacific Northwest University and Western University in Lebanon. I've interviewed at the University of Washington and am waiting on a response from them, but I have an eerie feeling that I won't hear back from UW before a deposit is due at either school to hold my spot (Dec. 15th). My thoughts on each school so far: WesternU: -My first interview and... PNWU vs. WesternU (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Kobe Bryant
Although I was never a huge Kobe Bryant fan myself (Chicago native who always got defensive about the Michael Jordan comparisons), I was still pretty shocked about his passing. He was close to me in age and I could still always appreciate his amazing accomplishments and the fact that he was adored by millions across the globe. He also seemed to have many talents outside of basketball that he was just starting to delve into. It is of course even more sad that his daughter (along with other... Some questions
Good evening everybody. Recently I have come to new decisions about my future career goals. but I still have some questions. I am considering applying to Med school this year. In my country (Israel) Med school is 6 years long (you come with no former academic knowledge) and it includes 3 years of pre-clinical studies (when those end you get Bsc.Med) and later you have 3 clinical years and 1 year of internship (when those end you get an M.D). Hopefully if I have high grades, during 3rd year... Some questions (Source: Student Doctor Network)

PNWU vs. Western(Lebanon) vs. UND [MD]
Choosing between these three schools. Tried my best to list and codify some things. My SO and I currently live in Portland and my parents/family live in eastern Montana. My SO is also pursuing a graduate degree in the area and will not be able to move with me, therefore choosing PNWU or Western gives me the ability to drive to them. I have moved four times in four years and am growing tired of packing Uhauls/resettling into places. I hold nothing against DO's (hence why I am posting this)... Ventricular electrical storm
Over this last turkey holiday - my brother (an ICU/anesthesiologist) - was telling me about a case were he had some one with ventricular electrical storm - and to fix it (or control it at least) - he used isoproterenol to overdrive the ventricle. He said it worked well. I had never heard of that and thought the idea was pretty brilliant. Does this sort of thing happen a lot in ICUs? And is a beta-agonist commonly used? My pea-brain would have used a beta-blocker instead of a beta... Ventricular electrical storm (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Overseas Contractor Pharmacist Job
Kind of tested the waters and heard back from a company that wants to deploy me to the middle east (Afghanistan or Iraq) not yet determined. The process itself I guess takes for clearance about 4-6 months. I am wondering if you have personal experience or know someone who has firsthand experience of what it’s like working as contracting civilian pharmacist abroad? is it really worth the safety issues ? I’d like hear from you... Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Israeli Medical Schools are New York State Approved
