Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair in Patients with Concomitant Cancer: A Literature Review
CONCLUSION: This review supports EVAR treatment as first choice if suitable. No consensus was established on treating either the aneurysm or the cancer first or simultaneously. Long-term mortality after EVAR was comparable to non-cancer patients within recent years.PMID:36812403 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231159151 (Source: Vascular)

Treatment of stent rupture after endovascular treatment of superior mesenteric aneurysm with open surgery
CONCLUSION: The patient experienced a good recovery. As one of the complications after endovascular repair, stent fracture maybe more dangerous than SMAA itself, the stent fracture after endovascular repair treated by open surgery with satisfactory results is alternative and feasible.PMID:36802929 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231158440 (Source: Vascular)

Hypogastric artery luminal diameter predicts common-external iliac stent patency and major adverse limb events in patients with aortoiliac occlusive disease
CONCLUSIONS: Patency rates of C-EIA BMS are high. Hypogastric luminal diameter is an important and potentially modifiable predictor of C-EIA BMS patency and MALE in patients with AIOD.PMID:36802992 | DOI:10.1177/17085381221141737 (Source: Vascular)

High-output heart failure following gunshot injury and traumatic arteriovenous fistula
CONCLUSIONS: This case wants to emphasize the importance of proper clinical examination, and duplex ultrasonography in all cases of penetrating injuries.PMID:36802998 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231158516 (Source: Vascular)

Do treatment methods for deep vein thrombosis have different effects on post-thrombotic syndrome and the quality of life?
CONCLUSION: When deep vein thrombosis is treated using interventional methods, lower Villalta scores are detected after 1 year of follow-up. Development of post-thrombotic syndrome is reduced substantially. According to VEINES-QoL/Sym quality of life (QoL) scale, QoL is higher in patients who underwent interventional procedures. Interventional treatment provides persistent benefit in the short and medium terms especially in DVT with proximal involvement.PMID:36803050 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231158833 (Source: Vascular)

Evaluation of the self-expanding effect of carotid stents in the early postoperative period
CONCLUSION: We think that keeping the lumen patency limited to 30% residual stenosis after CAS procedure by applying minimal post-stenting balloon dilatation and leaving the remaining lumen expansion to the self-expanding feature of the Wallstent might be a sensible approach in order to avoid embolic events and excessive carotid sinus reactions (CSR).PMID:36794658 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231158494 (Source: Vascular)

Reconstruction of the accessory renal artery with autogenous vessels in aortic hybrid surgery: A case report
CONCLUSION: It is beneficial and necessary to reconstruct ARA for patients with renal malperfusion or abnormal renal function before operation.PMID:36794789 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231154817 (Source: Vascular)

The Impact of age and outcomes of high-risk patients on carotid revascularization
CONCLUSIONS: In patients older than 75 years in the Hr group, there were relatively poor 30-day treatment outcomes in both CEA and CAS. Alternative treatment is needed that can expect better outcomes in older high-risk patients. In the Nr group, CEA has a significant benefit compared with CAS, and CEA should be recommended more to these patients.PMID:36794829 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155035 (Source: Vascular)

The effect of successful lower extremity revascularization on aortic stiffness in patients with peripheral arterial disease
CONCLUSION: Our study showed that successful percutaneous revascularization significantly reduced aortic stiffness in PAD. The change in aortic stiffness was significantly higher in unilateral lesions, iliac site lesions and stent-treated lesions.PMID:36796873 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231153223 (Source: Vascular)
