Percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy for limb graft occlusion after endovascular aneurysm repair: Results of a case series
CONCLUSION: This case series indicates that percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy is associated with high technical success rates and subsequent acceptable ensuing short-to-midterm patency. This approach is a valid alternative to surgical interventions in such cases, and represents our primary approach when LGO is encountered after EVAR.PMID:36724505 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155670 (Source: Vascular)

The treatment of bilateral popliteal artery entrapment syndrome with nonuniform symptoms: A case report and literature review
Vascular. 2023 Jan 31:17085381231154339. doi: 10.1177/17085381231154339. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPopliteal artery entrapment syndrome (PAES) is a rare vascular disease, and cases of bilateral PAES associated with distinct symptoms in each of the affected legs are very rare. In an effort to improve current understanding regarding the presentation and treatment of this condition, a case of bilateral PAES is herein described with a corresponding review of the associated literature. The overall process of diagnosing and treating one patient affected by bilateral PAES was retrospectively assessed to provide comprehensive ...

Perioperative therapeutic antibiotics are beneficial to prevent exacerbation of limb-associated infection after bypass surgery in patients with critical limb-threatening ischemia and foot infection score of ≥1
CONCLUSION: Perioperative therapeutic antibiotics for patients with an fI score of ≥1 are beneficial for reducing the incidence of postoperative limb-associated infection after surgical revascularization.PMID:36719423 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231154608 (Source: Vascular)

Kidney autotransplantation as a key solution for a BEVAR type IIIb endoleak
CONCLUSION: Our case highlights kidney autotransplantation as a viable solution for a hybrid treatment of target vessel endoleaks and shows that this technique can assist complex endovascular aortic reconstructions.PMID:36719859 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155672 (Source: Vascular)

Panel composition and disparities in the topics of presentation in vascular surgery conferences
CONCLUSIONS: Significant disparities persist in the topics presented and in panel composition suggesting potential areas for improvement in equity. Further study should focus on evaluating trends in the training level of the presenter and the topics presented, and assessing parity in structural factors that impact research presentation opportunities.PMID:36708188 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231154343 (Source: Vascular)

Predictors of poor outcomes after lower extremity revascularization for acute limb ischemia
CONCLUSIONS: Urgent revascularization for management of acute limb ischemia is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Elderly patients with ESRD presenting with severely threatened limbs have especially high risk of perioperative mortality and may not be ideal candidates for limb salvage.PMID:36696536 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231154290 (Source: Vascular)
