The inpatient costs related to revascularization of lower extremity artery disease in terms of amputation and mortality rates
CONCLUSIONS: In mid-long-term period, the care costs are increased with OS; however, EV treatment significantly increases the medical supplies and total costs. The increase in cost is correlated with poor outcome. Although the comorbidities and risk factors of these patients lead the clinicians to perform more challenging endovascular approaches, in mid-long-term period, particularly failed endovascular procedures are not promising in terms of outcomes and costs. We consider that the best-fit therapy on time is cost-effective, life and extremity-saving either, by avoiding deleterious effects of severe ischemia, such as sev...

Results of the in situ fenestration technique for preservation of the Left subclavian artery in the endovascular repair of acute aortic syndromes in a reference center
CONCLUSION: ISF as feasible and with a high rate of technical success and good results in the short and medium term. Prospective studies with long-term clinical follow-up are still needed to fully assess the durability of these unreinforced fenestrations.PMID:36750245 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155959 (Source: Vascular)

Risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: There are many risk factors for developing of ulcers in the diabetic feet, and early prevention and intervention should be performed as early as possible to assess the risk of developing diabetic foot patients.PMID:36740805 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231154805 (Source: Vascular)

Ultrasound-guided proximal external aortic compression in a vascular trauma patient
CONCLUSION: This case demonstrated that ultrasound-guided proximal external aortic compression can be used as a bridge for further treatment of patients with vascular trauma, such as resuscitative thoracotomy or endoaortic balloon or covered stent occlusion.PMID:36744840 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155944 (Source: Vascular)

A rare case of bilateral isolated internal iliac artery aneurysms excluded with VBX covered stents
CONCLUSION AND RESULTS: Total patency was detected 1 year after surgery in both sides. No buttock claudication, erectile dysfunction and/or signs of bowel ischaemia were referred. Preserving the hypogastric flow is an important goal in isolated hypogastric arteries aneurysms' treatment and covered stenting surely represents a valid therapeutical choice.PMID:36738109 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155939 (Source: Vascular)

Infected popliteal pseudoaneurysm in a youth basketball player: A case report and brief review of the literature
CONCLUSION: This case highlighted the importance of repeating radiologic investigations if a patient suffering from soft tissue infection has persistent pain after several days of appropriate antibiotics. A popliteal pseudoaneurysm can be diagnosed with ultrasound imaging and treated with a popliteal-popliteal bypass. Our patient needed a catheter-guided dilation of the anastomosis at the vein graft 6 months post-surgery, and then evolved favorably and went back to playing basketball 6 months post-dilation.PMID:36738272 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155669 (Source: Vascular)

Percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy for limb graft occlusion after endovascular aneurysm repair: Results of a case series
CONCLUSION: This case series indicates that percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy is associated with high technical success rates and subsequent acceptable ensuing short-to-midterm patency. This approach is a valid alternative to surgical interventions in such cases, and represents our primary approach when LGO is encountered after EVAR.PMID:36724505 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231155670 (Source: Vascular)
