Subclavian to carotid artery bypass for a case of ocular ischemic syndrome
CONCLUSION: There is paucity of data regarding the best approach for carotid revascularization in OIS. This case report discusses our unique perioperative decision making as well as relevant literature.PMID:36917226 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231164015 (Source: Vascular)

The effect of cilostazol on the platelet-derived growth factor-beta/beta isoform reduction on venous hyperplasia in an experimental balloon-induced injury model
CONCLUSIONS: Cilostazol induced a significant reduction of IH caused by barotrauma in the venous endothelium, which correlates with decrease in the PDGF-BB in serum. This could be attributed to the pharmacologic effect on PDGFR expression.PMID:36911886 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231162160 (Source: Vascular)

True ulnar artery aneurysm in the upper arm: A case report and literature review
CONCLUSION: This is a rare case of such a diagnosis in the absence of a history of arterial puncture or trauma. This case demonstrates the value in obtaining detailed imaging in the work-up to aid operative decision making. We highlight the thought processes on the table in our approach to this aneurysm and report a favourable post-operative outcome at follow up.PMID:36912072 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231164453 (Source: Vascular)

Systematic review of the relationship between Hollenhorst plaques and cerebrovascular events
CONCLUSION: The presence of asymptomatic retinal emboli indicates a risk of a cerebrovascular event when compared to patients with no plaques seen on fundoscopy. The evidence suggests that these patients warrant referral for medical optimization of cardiovascular risk factors. Currently, there is no recommendation to support carotid endarterectomy in patients with Hollenhorst plaques, or retinal emboli, and further studies are needed to assess this.PMID:36914563 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231163339 (Source: Vascular)

Circ_0000595 knockdown alleviates CoCl2-mediated effects in VSMCs by regulating the miR-582-3p/ADAM10 axis
CONCLUSION: Our data verified that circ_0000595 silencing might attenuate CoCl2-mediated impacts in VSMCs by regulating the miR-582-3p/ADAM10 axis, providing new potential roads for treating TAA.PMID:36905137 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231156974 (Source: Vascular)

Predictors of recurrence after paclitaxel drug-coated balloon use for treating femoropopliteal in-stent restenosis
CONCLUSIONS: PDCB is safe and effective treatment of FP-ISR lesions. Occlusive ISR lesions and reference vessel diameter were independently associated with recurrent ISR stenosis after PDCB treatment.PMID:36896828 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231162123 (Source: Vascular)

Prevalence and risk factors of phlebosclerosis in the great saphenous vein
CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of phlebosclerosis of the great saphenous vein is low, specifically 2.3%. Hypertension and increased age are risk factors for the development of phlebosclerosis. Both sexes are equally affected, while BMI, smoking, diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemia do not contribute to the development of phlebosclerosis.PMID:36896864 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231162134 (Source: Vascular)

Successful endovascular salvage of a maldeployed iliac limb extension during complex aortic reconstruction
CONCLUSION: Careful communication, wire marking, and attention to intraoperative flow can minimize risks of complication, but knowledge of bail out techniques remains imperative.PMID:36890681 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231156668 (Source: Vascular)

Modern treatment of a Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome patient with Palma procedure
We present a case of a deep venous abnormality requiring a saphenous vein crossover Palma procedure, in combination with a left femoral arteriovenous PTFE fistula to manage a non-healing wound from chronic venous insufficiency in a 22-year-old man. This case highlights updates for modern treatment tips for technical and medical management decisions to avoid early graft thrombosis.PMID:36891661 | DOI:10.1177/17085381231161852 (Source: Vascular)
