Endoscopic mucosal resection using anchored snare Tip-in versus precut technique for small rectal neuroendocrine tumors
CONCLUSIONS: We did not demonstrate the non-inferiority of Tip-in EMR compared to EMR-P for treating small rectal NETs. However, the R0 resection rates for both techniques were high enough for clinical application.PMID:38062724 | DOI:10.3904/kjim.2023.263 (Source: The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine)

Characteristics of patients with psoriatic arthritis in Korea: focusing on axial involvement
CONCLUSIONS: We demonstrate that axial involvement is common in Korean PsA patients, and its characteristics can be distinct from those of AS.PMID:38062722 | DOI:10.3904/kjim.2023.044 (Source: The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine)

Risk factors for anticoagulant-associated gastrointestinal hemorrhage: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The study found that anemia, co-administration of gemfibrozil, co-administration of verapamil or diltiazem, INR, heart failure, myocardial infarction et al. were associated with anticoagulation-related GIB, and these factors were not in the existing prediction models. This study informs risk prediction for anticoagulant-associated GIB, it also informs guidelines for GIB prevention and future research.PMID:38062723 | DOI:10.3904/kjim.2023.098 (Source: The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine)

Usefulness of nasal cavity evaluation before high-resolution esophageal manometry in high-risk patients
CONCLUSIONS: To reduce the risk of adverse events and test failure during HRM, a site-specific questionnaire to evaluate nasal obstruction might be helpful. When nasal obstruction is suspected, objective nasal cavity evaluation could be recommended for the safe and successful performance of HRM.PMID:38031365 | DOI:10.3904/kjim.2023.266 (Source: The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine)
