Development and validation of high-performance liquid chromatography-Orbitrap mass spectrometric method for quantification of NDMA in ranitidine drug products and evaluation of antioxidants as inhibitors of classical nitrosation reaction
CONCLUSIONS: This study compared the effectiveness of antioxidants as NDMA attenuators in ranitidine under storage conditions susceptible to NDMA generation. The study concluded that ascorbic acid and trolox are potent inhibitors of NDMA formation and nitrosation attenuators in ranitidine drug products.PMID:38600640 | DOI:10.1002/rcm.9747 (Source: Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry : RCM)

Imaging and quantification of neuropeptides in mouse pituitary tissue by atmospheric pressure matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry
CONCLUSION: Mouse pituitary neuropeptides have emerged as important signaling molecules due to their role in stress response. This work indicates the potential of modified AP-MALDI as a promising AP MSI method for in situ visualization and quantification of neuropeptides in complex biological tissues.PMID:38600731 | DOI:10.1002/rcm.9755 (Source: Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry : RCM)

Characterization of the fragmentation mechanisms in electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry of chloroquinoline derivatives with larvicidal activity against Aedes aegypti
CONCLUSION: Our results provided a well-founded characterization of the fragmentation reactions of DCQ and its derivatives, which can be useful for complementary studies of the development of a larvicidal product against Ae. aegypti.PMID:38605205 | DOI:10.1002/rcm.9739 (Source: Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry : RCM)

Analytical method development, identification, and characterization of stress degradation products of idelalisib by ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array and ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography with electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry studies
CONCLUSIONS: A UHPLC-PDA method was developed and validated for idelalisib. Four degradation products of idelalisib were revealed through UHPLC/ESI-QTOFMS studies, and corresponding degradation pathways were postulated for the same.PMID:38591150 | DOI:10.1002/rcm.9745 (Source: Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry : RCM)

Procedures from samples to sulfur isotopic data: A review
CONCLUSION: This review compiles more details on different methods in sampling, laboratory operation, and measurement of sulfur isotopes, which is beneficial for researchers' better practice in laboratories. Microanalyses and molecular studies are the frontier techniques that compare the bulk sample with the elemental analysis/continuous flow-gas source stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry method, but the latter is widely used. The development of sulfur isotopic measurements will lead to the innovation in scientific issues with sulfur proxies.PMID:38591181 | DOI:10.1002/rcm.9733 (Source: Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry : RCM)
