Evaluating breast biopsy practice and breast biopsy marker utilisation in the clinical setting
ConclusionsAlmost all radiologists perform breast biopsy using ultrasound, stereotactic/tomosynthesis or MRI guidance. BBM utilisation varies by modality, with 72% of respondents placing between 1 and 4 clips per week. Reasons for placing or not placing BBM aligned with prior studies. This is the first study to evaluate the number of breast biopsies performed by radiologists on a weekly or monthly basis, providing a useful platform for comparison in the local setting. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging findings of gynaecologic emergencies: A pictorial essay
AbstractGynaecologic emergencies include diseases resulting from adnexal and uterine disorders. Some emergencies are life threatening; however, they often have non-specific symptoms and physical findings. Thus, imaging diagnosis is important for evaluating these conditions. The first-choice modality for obstetrics and gynaecology is ultrasonography; however, some cases require computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for correct diagnosis. Treatment options for gynaecologic emergencies vary from conservative therapy to emergency surgery, thus a correct diagnosis is critical. The purpose of this article...

Variations in whole brain radiation therapy fractionation for brain metastases in Victoria
ConclusionWe observed large variations in WBRT fractionation that are associated with patient, tumour, treatment and institutional factors. It is important to continuously monitor and benchmark our practice in order to reduce potentially unwarranted variations. (Source: Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology)

Evaluating delays in patients treated with post ‐operative radiation therapy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
ConclusionThis study demonstrates that the prevalence of PORT delay for patients with HNSCC remains high with room for improvement. Potential strategies to improve delays include developing effective care coordination, addressing specific needs of Indigenous patients, implementing reliable automated tracking and communication systems between teams and harnessing existing electronic referral systems. Clinical evidence for synergy between immunotherapy and radiotherapy (SITAR)
This article reviews the range of cancers known to respond to immunotherapy and publications analysing SITAR. It sets the backgrou nd for work that needs to be done in future clinical trials. It also reviews the potential toxicities of immunotherapy and discusses areas where caution is required when combining treatments. (Source: Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology)
