Retrieval of a Cook Celect inferior vena cava (IVC) filter after prolonged dwell time of 5,117  days: Factors to consider for retrieval of long‐dwell IVC filters
This report describes the pre-procedural work-up and removal of an IVC filter with a prolonged dwell time of 5,117  days (14 years, 3 days) using the loop snare advanced retrieval technique. As far as the authors are aware this case is the longest-described successful retrieval of a Cook Celect IVC filter at 5,117 days. (Source: Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology)

Does breast biopsy marker cost and availability influence utilisation in radiology practice?
ConclusionsResults suggest that BBM cost and availability influences both choice of biopsy type (core biopsy vs FNA) and choice to use a BBM. Radiologists working in private practice or mixed private/public practice report that BBMs are less likely to be available for use, and that BBM cost is more likely passed to the patient; possibly disadvantaging patients who present to private radiology providers with imaging findings or conditions that would indicate BBM insertion under current national guidelines. Investigating the role of delayed contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to differentiate radiation necrosis from tumour recurrence in brain metastases after stereotactic radiosurgery
ConclusionIn conclusion, the TRAMs appearances of RN and TR overlap. Our findings suggest that the previously-described correlation between contrast clearance and TR is at least partially attributable to more solid initial enhancement, rather than convincingly a difference in the underlying tissue properties, and the additional diagnostic value of TRAMs may be limited. Thus, further research on TRAMs is necessary prior to incorporating it into routine clinical management after SRS for brain metastases. (Source: Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology)

Intracranial venous stenting for idiopathic intracranial hypertension
ConclusionOur study findings support the paradigm shift from CSF diversion procedures to venous sinus stenting in patients with IIH who fail first-line therapy. Venous sinus stenting has a high technical success rate and significantly lower complication rates than other invasive treatments. (Source: Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology)

Fostering an inclusive workplace for LGBTQIA+ people in radiology and radiation oncology
SummaryThe inclusion and celebration of LGBTQIA+ staff in radiology and radiation oncology departments is crucial in developing a diverse and thriving workplace. Despite the substantial social change in Australia, LGBTQIA+ people still experience harassment and exclusion, negatively impacting their well-being and workplace productivity. We need to be proactive in creating policies that are properly implemented and translate to a safe and inclusive space for marginalised groups. In this work, we outline the role we all can play in creating inclusive environments, for both individuals and leaders working in radiology and rad...

Catheter ‐directed thrombolysis for lower limb ischaemia: A retrospective study of treatment outcomes
ConclusionTechnical success of CDT was found to be significantly higher when combined with adjunctive endovascular procedures at the time of CDT. Despite an initial moderate technical success, the probability of patency at 12  months was only 44%. The likelihood of bleeding complications and technical and long-term success remain key considerations when selecting patients for CDT. (Source: Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology)

Breast incidentalomas on 18 ‐Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography‐computed tomography performed for a non‐mammary cause: Significance and outcomes
ConclusionBreast incidentalomas are uncommon on 18-FDG PET-CT but require work-up for malignancy. BIRADS score has a high sensitivity and specificity for malignancy in18-FDG PET-CT incidentalomas but age, size of the lesion and the pattern of uptake on 18-FDG PET-CT were not useful in differentiating benign from malignant incidentalomas. Spectrum of intracranial and spinal epidermoids including unusual locations and imaging findings: A pictorial review
AbstractIntracranial and spinal epidermoids are benign slow-growing congenital lesions. They are predominantly intradural, extra-axial in location, with intra-axial locations (intra-parenchymal and spinal intramedullary) being rare. The most common locations of intradural epidermoids are cerebellopontine angle cistern followed by supra- and para-sellar regions, and fourth ventricle. Less common locations include inter-hemispheric fissure, sylvian fissure, lateral ventricle, intracerebral, velum interpositum cistern, superior cerebellar cistern and pineal gland. They can also be extradural, usually arising in the diploic sp...
