Influence of thyroid autoimmunity at various clinical stages of hypothyroidism on the risk of miscarriage before 20 weeks of gestation
CONCLUSION: Coexistence of overt hypothyroidism and thyroid autoimmunity was the only significant driver of pregnancy loss before 20 weeks of gestation.PMID:37606882 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00474-2 (Source: Hormones)

The effect of radioiodine therapy on blood cell count in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer
CONCLUSION: These results suggest an association between RAI dose and blood cell count abnormalities, characterized by mild lymphopenia, and indicate that the risk of mild lymphopenia persists over time. Careful consideration should be given when planning high-dose RAI for patients at a high risk of blood cell count abnormalities, such as males with metastatic disease and of advanced age.PMID:37603221 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00479-x (Source: Hormones)

Serum levels of anti-inflammatory/proinflammatory adipocytokines, and copper levels in overweight and obese women in an adult Mexican population
CONCLUSIONS: Circulating fasting Res levels are negatively associated with serum Cu concentration in normal-weight adult women. We also observed a close relationship between Adpn/Lep and Lep/Ghr ratios with obesity. However, more observational studies are required to confirm these results in future research.PMID:37603222 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00477-z (Source: Hormones)

Adropin may regulate corpus luteum formation and its function in adult mouse ovary
CONCLUSIONS: Adropin GPR19 signaling promotes the synthesis of progesterone and upregulates the expression of p27kip1, EG VEGF, and erk1/2, resulting in cell cycle arrest and neovascularization, which ultimately leads to corpus luteum formation.PMID:37597158 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00476-0 (Source: Hormones)

High cholesterol diet-induced testicular dysfunction in rats
CONCLUSIONS: Our results showed that a high-cholesterol diet adversely affected testosterone production and sperm progressive motility, possibly due to Leydig, Sertoli, and germ cell abnormalities.PMID:37596375 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00472-4 (Source: Hormones)

Temporary hypothyroidism in severe crush syndrome: a potential novel entity
CONCLUSIONS: In severe forms of crush syndrome, temporary hypothyroidism might be seen. The exact mechanism underlying this entity is not well-known. Further clinical and experimental trials should be conducted to illuminate the mechanism of disrupted thyroid hormonogenesis in crush syndrome victims.PMID:37596376 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00475-1 (Source: Hormones)

Uric acid index is a risk for mild cognitive impairment in type 2 diabetes
CONCLUSION: This study showed that the increased UA index was independently associated with MCI in patients with T2D, especially among female, less-educated, and hypertensive patients. It could be a potential indicator of MCI in T2D patients.PMID:37523135 | DOI:10.1007/s42000-023-00465-3 (Source: Hormones)
