Treating Uncomfortable Contact Lens Wear With Orthokeratology
Conclusions: Although not all symptomatic soft CL wearers were able to be refit into orthokeratology, subjects who were wearing orthokeratology at 3 months had a significant and clinically meaningful improvement in ocular symptoms. Additional work is needed to determine the mechanism leading to improved comfort because few clinical signs were changed after switching to orthokeratology. Acanthamoeba Keratitis in Minors With Orthokeratology (OK) Lens Use: A Case Series
Conclusions: The proportion of orthokeratology cases among AK minors (13%) in our case series exceeds the expected proportion of orthokeratology cases expected based on orthokeratology market penetrance (1%). Results from this case series suggest a potential increased risk of AK in orthokeratology users compared with other lens modalities. In the context of the current myopia epidemic and concerns for halting myopia progression in minors, caution should be exercised when selecting appropriate treatment options to minimize the risk of AK. Efficacy of Azithromycin Eyedrops for Individuals With Meibomian Gland Dysfunction–Associated Posterior Blepharitis
