Sex difference in clinical and procedural outcomes in patients undergoing coronary atherectomy: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion In our analysis, women undergoing CA are at increased risk of mid-term mortality and procedure-related complications including stroke, coronary dissection, and major bleeding. (Source: Coronary Artery Disease)

Obstructive coronary artery disease in symptomatic diabetics with zero coronary calcium score: are we missing something?
Conclusion In symptomatic diabetic patients with zero CACS, CAD, including obstructive disease, can still occur and is predominant in middle-aged adults, women and Hispanics. In symptomatic diabetics CCTA is a critical step for accurate risk stratification even when CACS would have placed some of these individuals in a lower-risk category. Who should be referred for a CT coronary calcium score? Introducing a simple patient risk questionnaire combining traditional and novel risk factors
Conclusions A unique and simple PRQ identifies those most likely to have a positive CAC scan and may be useful to predict who will benefit most from CAC scanning, allowing for its use in those patients who are most appropriate. (Source: Coronary Artery Disease)

Vascular healing responses to paclitaxel coated balloons or everolimus eluting stents for the treatment of in-stent restenosis. Insights from optical coherence tomography
Conclusions Compared with EES, ISR treated with PCB demonstrated more strut coverage with mainly high backscattering tissue. Larger OCT-defined neointimal proliferation in PCB-treated ISR did not translate into higher angiographic restenosis rates. (Source: Coronary Artery Disease)

Short dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with high bleeding risk undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions Shortening the DAPT regimen to 1 or 6 months did not increase the risk of MACE, and the 6-month DAPT regimen reduced the risk of major bleeding. However, the 3-month DAPT regimen increased the risk of ischemic stroke. Thus, shortened DAPT reduced the risk of MACE and bleeding, with a small absolute increase in ischemic strokes. Factors associated with recurrent spontaneous coronary artery dissection: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion SCAD patients with hypertension or FMD were at a higher risk of recurrence, whereas beta-blocker usage was related to a reduced risk. These findings may provide insights into risk prediction and management after the SCAD episode. (Source: Coronary Artery Disease)
