Enteral glutamine supplements for patients with severe burns: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Compared to the control group, enteral glutamine administration may not improve the mortality, although it may be associated with a shorter LOS, a lower LOS/total burn surface area ratio, and may reduce the risk of wound infection in patients with severe burns.PMID:37460347 | DOI:10.1016/j.cjtee.2023.06.005 (Source: Chinese Journal of Traumatology)

Association of ABCB1 gene polymorphisms rs1128503, rs2032582, rs4148738 with anemia in patients receiving dabigatran after total knee arthroplasty
CONCLUSION: It might be necessary to reconsider thromboprophylaxis with dabigatran in carriers of rs1128503 (TT) or rs2032582 (TT) polymorphisms in favor of other new oral anticoagulants. The long-term implication of these findings would be the reduction of bleeding complications after total joint arthroplasty.PMID:37423837 | DOI:10.1016/j.cjtee.2023.06.003 (Source: Chinese Journal of Traumatology)

Calcitonin gene-related peptide inhibits neuronal apoptosis in heatstroke rats via PKA/p-CREB pathway
CONCLUSIONS: CGRP can protect against HS-induced neuron apoptosis via PKA/p-CREB pathway and reduce activation of caspase-3 by regulating Bcl-2. Thus CGRP may be a new target for the treatment of brain injury in HS.PMID:37423838 | DOI:10.1016/j.cjtee.2023.06.002 (Source: Chinese Journal of Traumatology)
