Comparison of curettage vs. trephination technique for harvesting anterior iliac crest bone graft: A cadaveric study
CONCLUSION: Harvesting anterior iliac crest bone graft with the trephine technique provides a higher bone volume and weight than the conventional curettage technique. The trephine technique might be advocated over the curettage technique, especially when a large amount of autologous bone graft is required. However, a meticulous harvesting technique should be followed to prevent complications, particularly the three-dimensional anatomy should be kept in mind, and the depth of trephination should be well-controlled.CLINICAL TRIAL REGISTRATION: Institutional Review Board registration: 2022/499.PMID:38065705 | DOI:10.1016/j.cj...

The expression mechanism of programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 and its role in immunomodulatory ability of mesenchymal stem cells
Chin J Traumatol. 2023 Nov 23:S1008-1275(23)00119-0. doi: 10.1016/j.cjtee.2023.11.003. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTProgrammed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) is an important immunosuppressive molecule, which inhibits the function of T cells and other immune cells by binding to the receptor programmed cell death-1. The PD-L1 expression disorder plays an important role in the occurrence, development, and treatment of sepsis or other inflammatory diseases, and has become an important target for the treatment of these diseases. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are a kind of pluripotent stem cells with multiple differentiation pot...
