Anyone attending ISPRM 2019 in Kobe?
I'm a final year PG resident in PM&R from Pakistan. Me and a few residents and consultants from Pakistan are presenting posters and oral presentations at this year's ISPRM Congress in Kobe, Japan. Is anyone on the forum planning to attend as well? It would be brilliant to interact with fellow residents and junior Physiatrists while we're there. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Practicing at overseas base?
This section of SDN seems to be pretty quiet, but thought I'd try asking. I'm interested in the HPSP (Air Force), and was wondering how likely it would be to practice medicine at on overseas branch after residency? Something like Korea or Japan? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Research Fellowships in Japan?
Hey all, Just curious if anyone knew of a research program in Japan that a medical student could get involved in with a research year. I've found Fogarty grants in Japan but they're for PhDs. Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Recommendations on what to do during a gap year
I have finished applying, paid out supplemental fees (except for just a few), and have recently came back from Southeast Asia. Now I'm currently looking for more opportunities to get busy/productive. I am currently working as a retail associate to get money, but I also wanted to ask what others would do or suggest. More dental-related stuff maybe? (Such as shadowing). I also have always wanted to learn Japanese, but so far all the classes offered in my area stretch out to the fall. Thus if...
