What ’s the next logical step? (Advice)
To whomever is willing to impart advice, I ask what should my next steps be? What would your next steps be? Apologize beforehand for the longer than usual post on here but I’d like to give you a sense of me as to better direct your advice. Thank you. I graduated from the University of Georgia (go dawgs), this past fall, with a 3.08 overall GPA and a 2.8 science GPA. Prior to attending UGA in the fall of 2015, I attended other colleges in the state and came in with a 3.71 GPA. I’d say I did... What’s the next logical step? MCG vs. UT Southwestern
Any input is welcome Medical College of Georgia Pros: -full tuition scholarship -closer to home (albeit not a huge priority for me) Cons: -not as well known -2nd preclinical year is graded -Augusta isn’t the most interesting place UT Southwestern Pros: -more resources -Dallas seems like a cool place to live -better curriculum IMO, for example only 1.5 years preclinical which is all P/F -sizeable spanish speaking patient population (bettering my medical Spanish is important to me) Cons:... Difference between PCOM schools?
Is there a big difference between PCOM South Georgia, PCOM, and PCOM Georgia Campus? From their websites, it looks pretty similar to me, just different locations. Thoughts? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anesthesiologist Assistant or MD?
I’m unsure if I’m posting this in the right place, so apologies in advance if I’m in the wrong area. I know everyone has a unique situation, so I wanted to explain mine briefly and ask opinions of others on if I should pursue a PA or MD route. When I say PA, I actually mean AA - Anesthesiology Assistant. If I do MD, I’m stuck between surgeon or anesthesiologist. I am 24 years old and live in Georgia. I’m currently in a job in aviation that pays well, but I’m looking for a career change.... Anesthesiologist Assistant or MD? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Don't Know Where to Go
Hey SDN, I'm a senior in high school who is residing in Georgia and is interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. However, before I can begin this journey I must first choose a undergraduate school to attend and I'm conflicted on where to go on one hand I can attend Kennesaw State University ( a small lesser known school) virtually free due to state scholarships and the ability to reside at my parents; but, because it is a smaller school there won't be as many research opportunities,... Medical College of Georgia Anesthesiology
There have been a lot of changes over the last decade and most have been positive. I think this program is poised to become more than just a solid place where you can learn anesthesia. In terms of schedule, a typical day begins by about 6:00am or 6:30am setting up your room depending on if there is a conference that morning (will come in 6am if conference is 6:15). The OR start time is 7:30 am. The exception to this is Monday, which is Grand Rounds (including Journal Club and M&M) and... Medical College of Georgia Anesthesiology (Source: Student Doctor Network)

CUSOM v. PCOM Georgia
Hey everyone! Time is a ticking and I need to make some decisions about schools. I interviewed at my in state MD school and would love to go there but the chances of me hearing anytime soon are low. I have received acceptances at CUSOM and PCOM Georgia thus far this cycle. CUSOM Pros: Close to home, beautiful facilities, comprehensive board prep, faculty seem extremely invested. Cons: New school, rural area, mandatory attendance. TBH students seemed a little pretentious. PCOM Georgia:... CUSOM v. PCOM Georgia (Source: Student Doctor Network)
