Chest Tube and Procedure Protocols

For those of you who know about EM programs at Level 1 Trauma centers where ED residents and surgery residents need the same ACGME procedures, what protocols do those programs have? For example, University of South Georgia - ED resident gets left-side chest tubes, trauma resident gets right-side chest tubes. Is the protocol written or is it a verbal understanding... New Atlanta Program!
Good afternoon - I am thrilled to announce that the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta (just outside Atlanta) has received ACGME accreditation and is active in ERAS to accept applications. We are a three-year training program at the highest volume ED in Georgia, and one of the busiest in the country (last year we ranked #5 nationally by total patient volume). We are a level 2 trauma center, an accredited Stroke Center with an active... New Atlanta Program! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Slight confusion with how residency placement works
I am from New York and was just wondering if hypothetically let's say I went to a medical school in Georgia, can I place into a residency back in New York? It's just my entire life is here and I don't care where I end up going to medical school but is it possible to get residency back here? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What ’s everyone’s opinion of PCOM-South GA
Hey guys the title says it all. I’m looking for an opinion about PCOM-South GA. I’ve been accepted there and waitlisted a couple places. I chose PCOM South Georgia even though it’s a new program because of its affiliation with PCOM and the numerous opportunities available as the first class. I also want to practice in a rural environment. What do people usually think of these newer schools with an affiliation with an established program? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

PA end goal. Where do I go from here?
Hello everyone, A little about myself. I have been working as an EMT in the state of Georgia for about four years now. I have two months left of my paramedic course. When I graduate from my paramedic school I will have an associates degree. Halfway through paramedic school, I decided that I did not want to be in EMS my whole career but that my experience in EMS can be a good stepping stone for higher career opportunities. I decided after much thought that I want to become a physician... PA end goal. Where do I go from here? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
