University of Vermont (UVM Connecticut Campus) vs. Medical College of Georgia (MCG Augusta Campus)
Hi everyone! Thank you for your time in reading my post. I'm OOS for both of these medical schools and could use some wisdom in helping decide on a school. Both schools would be very far from family so there isn't a family support network advantage either way. I haven't gotten my financial aid packages from either school yet, so I'm estimating each school's cost of attendance based on only loans (hoping for grants/scholarships but trying to be realistic here). To give some context on my... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

GA drug schedule vs Federal question
I'm working towards reciprocity in Georgia and reading all the law material to prepare for MPJE. Controlled drugs are a major topic on all law exams, and I was fortunate enough to have my pharmacy school law professor provide a "must know schedule" of our state scheduled drugs that differ from Federal scheduling. For example, Soma is a schedule IV federally, but Louisiana treats it as a CIII drug. Is anyone in GA willing to share some top scheduled drugs or drugs with mg limits within... Step 1 @ Medical College of Georgia
So I heard from a friend of a friend (and looked at the email) that Medical College of Georgia is only letting their M2s that are in the top 10% of the class take step 1 as normally scheduled. The rest of the class will only be allowed to take it after its Pass/Fail. Anyone else think this is whack? I would be beyond upset if I went there. can they even do this? What's the matter with Georgia?

ICU In Southern States
Does anybody know of contacts in Texas/Georgia area? 1)I've got a few offers in some southern states, but I'd love to be around a bigger Texas city (IE Houston or Dallas, maybe Atlanta). Heard Houston is mainly big managed groups like anesthesia managed corporations for anesthesia. 2) anybody actually done the locums' gig and lived in another city as your primary and just then just jet around? I'm single, no kids/family, I have a few good job offers, but kind of got burned on my first... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Dental College of Georgia - Prosthodontics Program - Please read
Hello all, I'm here to spread awareness about the Prosthodontics program at the Dental College of Georgia led by Dr. Darshanjit Pannu. There is so much racism and favoritism in this program. The program director abuses his power, targets non-white residents, and constantly write them up for whatever reason. The program director is not professional and has very poor communication skills with his residents. He communicates with his non-white residents via emails only instead of directly... BS/MD or Typical Undergrad
Hey, So I've been contemplating going to a BS/MD school 7-year program in Georgia or attending UGA. I was originally dead set on the BS/MD program, but after digging deeper it looks like they have a fairly high attrition rate, and the requirements for medical school matriculation are pretty high (3.7 & 512). So my question is more so regarding medical school admissions, would a 3.7/512 lead to me to acceptances at least one medical school coming out of UGA? Or would it be better to commit...
