Standard grade requirements - please advise!!
Hello all My name is Tom. I sent away my application (1st attempt) in December last year. I am 31, have been to University and have honours degree in sociology and culture. Since then (2009) I have worked as a support worker and currently I am a key worker working with autism. I have achieved many courses such as first aid, epilepsy training etc etc. I also have 4 highers (grade B's) in politics, sociology, English, and History. When I was 15 (sitting my standard grades) I was very unwell and had about 6months off school so didn't do great in my standard grades. As such, TECHNICALLY I do not possess the MINIMUM requirement...

Should I send a Psych GRE score to schools that don't require it?
I have a bachelor in music and will have only taken six or seven psych courses (most at community college) by the time I apply for clinical and counseling PhD programs this winter. I am planning on taking the psych GRE because I think that if I do well, it will (hopefully) prove that I know my stuff. My question is whether I should send the psych GRE scores to schools that don't require them (nor even say that they recommend them). Does anybody have any thoughts on this? I realize that it will be expensive, but I think that lacking BA/BS in psych puts me at a bit of a disadvantage. And for those who are interested, I'm pa...

Variations in Pill Appearance of Antiepileptic Drugs & the Risk of Nonadherence
Link to study This is the stupidity we have to deal with. No wonder so many physicians with epileptic patients "swear" the generics don't work as well in the face of actual controlled studies. At some point, the nocebo effect needs to be addressed in a major way. And making brand names illegal should be at the top of the list. The concept of "generic" not having anything to do with actual quality is too much for the general public to handle. (Source: Student Doctor Network Forums)
