Probably too late to submit an AMCAS right?
I scored a 499 (124/123/124/128) August 1st and then I received my new scores yesterday of a 512 (126/130/126/130). I got 2 interviews with the 499 for DO schools already. I thought I would not get anything close enough for MD so I never completed an AMCAS. My gpa is not impressive though: cGPA: 3.51 and sGPA: 3.298 (or probably 3.3 with AMCAS). ECs include chorus, biomedical (breast cancer) research, patient companion volunteering, receptionist/clinical assistant (not MA/CNA),... Probably too late to submit an AMCAS right? No Taxols in Breast ?
Okay. What's the trend ? Breast Cancer = Pacli/Docetaxel ? When do you skip Pacli/Docetaxel in Breast cancer ? I have a patient with T2N0M0 - Post MRM in a 50/F post menopausal with a Ki67 of 30% ! I wanted to do a 6xFEC - but seems this 'taxol is the thing' is pushing me hard to put her on 3xT after 3xFEC. What's your opinion ? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I wanted to see if someone here could please explain the steps in deep inspiratory breath hold (DIBH) for breast cancer. Specifically: How is the sim different? Positive Posterior Margin in Mastectomy specimen
So, long story short, had a patient who had low-risk early stage breast cancer clinically, underwent mastectomy + SLNB, saw one positive lymph node, and did ALND. pT1bN1a, with a positive posterior margin (at ink of mastectomy specimen, not within 2mm or anything). Received adjuvant chemo and now there was discussion of whether PMRT was indicated (patient had immediate implant based recon before positive posterior margin was known) The surgeon said that a positive posterior margin doesn't... ATM Variants of Unknown Significance and Radiation
As MyRisks are being ordered with greater frequency on breast cancer patients, I've seen a couple young ladies with ATM VUSs and don't really know what to do about radiation recommendations. The clinical information states that they are "probably benign" but I'm unconvinced when I'm looking at a 20-something year old with stage III breast cancer. Obviously bad cancer, that I would normally reflexively recommend post mastectomy radiation, but is that placing excess risk of second malignancy...
