Predictive Factors for Concurrent Tegmen Dehiscence in Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome

Conclusions: Obesity, OSA, preoperative oVEMP, and LF-ABG do not differ between those with SCD alone and those with SCD and concurrent tegmen dehiscences. Likewise, CT scans have relatively low sensitivity for identifying tegmen dehiscences. The presence of concurrent tegmen defects is more common in subjects with larger SCD cross-sectional areas and contralateral SCD.
