The efficacy of magnesium sulphate as an adjunct to local anaesthetics for perineal pain relief after episiotomy
Conclusion: Both xylocaine alone and xylocaine with MgSO4 provide adequate perineal pain relief during episiotomy repair. MgSO4 improves the analgesic effect of xylocaine at 2 h after episiotomy repair without any significant side effect.
