Uterine malakoplakia identified by diagnostic hysteroscopy

A 68-year-old G2P2 woman presented with postmenopausal bleeding for one month. One year before she had undergone living donor liver transplantation and was currently being treated with tacrolimus, lamivudine, everolimus, and prednisolone. Her gynecological history included a right ovarian cyst (4.70 cm) diagnosed before transplantation. While pelvic examination and Papanicolaou smear were within normal limits, ultrasound images revealed a significant endometrial thickening (3.23 cm) accompanied by fluid accumulation (Figure 1) and a right ovarian mass.
