Mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells acquire immunogenicity concurrent with differentiation to insulin-producing cells.

CONCLUSIONS: MSCs acquire immunogenicity after differentiation to functional IPCs, which might cause decreased efficacy in the case of allogeneic transplantation.
