Gastric neoplasm: Gastrointestinal stromal tumor mimicking gastric carcinoma

A 69-year-old woman presented with intermittent epigastric pain for 6 months. No special family or personal history was reported. Blood tests displayed moderate anemia (hemoglobin, 75  g/L). Computed tomography (CT) showed an irregularand heterogeneously enhanced lesion at the lesser curvature of stomach and multiple enlarged lymph nodes around the stomach (Fig. 1). Endoscopy confirmed that thelesion was a hugenodular neoplasm from the cardia to the angular notch, with deep ulce ration (Fig. 2). The patient received surgical resection of the neoplasmwith regional lymph node dissection.
