In conclusion, this population-based cohort study showed that a head CT scan is not associated with increased risk of thyroid disease in patients with minor head injury. The short-term adverse effects on the thyroid could be mild when a regular CT scan is appropriately performed.

Conclusions: Patients with mild head trauma on DOAC therapy had a similar prevalence of ICH to that of the control group. Meanwhile, patients on VKA therapy had about twice the ICH prevalence than that on the control group or patients on DOAC, which remained after correcting for age. CONCLUSION: Management of this type of patient appeared to be satisfactory. It can be improved by SBT on the basis of the SFMU 2012 consensus conference. There is a need to improve the software used by the emergency departments, which should include the time of trauma and recommendations. CONCLUSION: In this study, which was conducted by including all the predictor values of the PECARN guidelines, the rate of compliance with PECARN rules was determined to be very low. Using these rules directly or with modification could establish a starting point for clinicians to reduce the rates of unnecessary CT scans. However, the effects of the clinician's experience, parental expectations, medicolegal constraints and economic factors on the decision making process should not be forgotten.
