ConclusionThe proposed multiparametric MRI-based SLICs+MTh method performs noninvasive assessment of NACT response in osteosarcoma that may improve cancer treatment monitoring, planning, and overall prognosis.Key Points• The simple linear iterative clustering supervoxels and Otsu multithresholding-based technique (SLICs+MTh) successfully estimates the proportion of necrosis, viable tumor, and edema in osteosarcoma in the course of chemotherapy.• The proposed technique is noninvasive and uses multiparametric MRI to measure necrosis as an indication of anticancer treatment response.• SLICs+MTh-based necrosis was in satisfactory agreement with histological necrosis after surgery.

Conclusion: Our data support the function of miR-101 as a tumor suppressor in osteosarcoma via downregulation of BCL6. AD-MSC derived miR-101-enriched EVs represent a potential innovative therapy for metastatic osteosarcoma. EV-miR-101 also represents a promising circulating biomarker of osteosarcoma metastasis.

In this study, chitosan was directly loaded onto HA disks to evaluate its in vitro release and effects on human fetal osteoblast (hFOB) and human osteosarcoma (MG-63) cell lines. It is hypothesized that the sustained release of chitosan will decrease osteosarcoma cell proliferation and enhance proliferation of osteoblast cells. In this study, FADD protein expression was knocked down in human CCHOSD, LM7, and SaOS2 OS cell lines followed by assessment of sensitivity to TNFα- or TRAIL-induced cell death.
