Surgical treatment of nasal polyposis: A comparison between cutting forceps and microdebrider.
CONCLUSION: The manual instrument allowed for a significantly lower recurrence incidence but yielded a higher rate of synechia formation compared with the microdebrider. Only asthma was significantly associated with a poorer clinical outcome, and gender, age, allergy, and eosinophilia did not affect the surgical prognosis.
