The modern plague of antivaccine extremists

In 2019, the World Health Organization declared vaccine hesitancy a top threat to global health,1 and the United States experienced the largest number of measles infections since 1992, almost losing measles elimination status. Vaccine disinformation flourishes on social media, where misleading click-bait conspiracies go viral and families, physicians, and public health advocates are bullied and threatened to silence support for vaccination. As a result, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that rates of young children not receiving certain vaccinations continue to increase, with states reporting rates as high as 7.7% of kindergarteners granted vaccination exemptions.

Measles was officially declared eradicated from the United States in 2000. Unfortunately, this status was temporary with measles outbreaks currently impacting multiple countries. In 2019, the World Health Organization listed vaccine hesitancy a top-ten global health threat.1 Ever since Edward Jenner developed the world ’s first successful smallpox injection, vocal segments of the population have resisted vaccines. Two original themes of the 1800’s persist among today’s anti-vaccine advocates: misguided perception that vaccines cause more harm than the diseases they prevent and the association of mandatory...

For those with an immunodeficiency, live vaccines may pose a greater risk than benefit. However, the decision to vaccinate should be carefully considered as evident by our case.

This study was aimed at implementing the knowledge on the immune response in cetaceans stranded along the Italian coastline to provide a baseline useful for assessing the immune status of bottlenose (Tursiops truncatus) and striped (Stenella coeruleoalba) dolphins. In particular, since the Mediterranean Sea is considered a heavily polluted basin, a comparison with animals living in open waters such as the Atlantic Ocean was made. Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded spleen, thymus, and lymph node tissues from 16 animals stranded along Italian and 11 cetaceans from the Canary Island shores were sampled within 48 h from death. ...

Conclusion The US has the highest vaccination rate of all industrialized countries. US children are experiencing a health epidemic with more chronic diseases than ever before in our history. The US has the highest infant mortality in a study comparing America with 29 other developed countries. Children in the US suffered with more autism than in all other countries studied. Studies comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated show conclusively that unvaccinated children enjoy far superior health. Research and data demonstrate that vaccines cause neurological damage and contribute to significant health damage. Vaccines are a major...

Conclusions Safe, effective, affordable homeopathic immunizations exist for almost every illness now targeted by unsafe, costly, failed conventional vaccinations. If the goal were to provide protection from disease in a safe manner, why aren’t these safe, inexpensive homeopathic options made available to the public on a large scale? Millions of dollars in healthcare costs would be saved by using a less expensive immunization. Most significant would be the reduction of vaccine-caused diseases including autism, asthma, allergies, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and cancer. The health of Americans would improve in drama...

Conclusion Many parents are unaware that doctors’ reasons for recommending dozens of vaccinations may not be tied to the health of children, but to other reasons, such as financial incentives, paid meals, lack of unbiased information about vaccines, and negative peer pressure. Moms and dads trust their health care providers to help them make the best choices about their little ones’ health, but physicians are unable to do so when their job security and financial bonuses are tied to the the widespread use of vaccines. Informed parents must take the threat of vaccine injury seriously and do their own research wel...

In this study, in order to evaluate the protective responses against measles, mumps and rubella, the level and avidity of virus-specific IgG antibodies were measured in 53 medical students of Tehran University, aged between 20-30 years. Except for mumps vaccine, all the students had been vaccinated against measles and rubella according to Iran's nationwide mass vaccination protocol for all persons aged 5-25 in 2003. Our results showed that 96.2% of the volunteers had a protective level (>15 IU/ml) of IgG against rubella, 79.2% had a protective level (>11 IU/ml) of IgG against measles and 64.16% had a protective level...

Conclusion A growing number of today’s children suffer from vaccine damage. Most individuals do not make the connection between health problems and vaccines. When asked about the cause of autoimmune disorders, asthma, allergies, diabetes, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, autism, and other common childhood diseases and illness, the majority of health care providers advise patients that the causes are unknown. Doctors, including most integrative physicians, fail to make the connection to vaccines. It takes one moment to permanently damage the health of an adult or child, but t...
