Nature Reviews Endocrinology, Published online: 31 January 2020; doi:10.1038/s41574-020-0323-2Thyroid status and serum cholesterol levels are intimately linked. However, some studies indicate that hypercholesterolaemia persists despite treatment, requiring more frequent use of statins.
