Elevated level of il-2, il-5 and tnf-α are associated with proliferative verrucous leukoplakia

ConclusionsOur data suggest that elevated levels of IL-4 and IL-9 may be associated with OSCC and potentially malignant disorders, indicating the possible participation of Th-2 and Th-9 cell subtypes in these conditions. Furthermore, elevated TNF-α levels observed in PLV group suggest an inflammatory process that possibly benefits tumor development. This could be a significant tool for distinguish and monitoring patients with PVL.
